3 ways travelling will be better than 'before'
I haven't travelled since March 2020. I still cannot wait to get out there. I remember past adventures, look through photo albums and imagine the next ones. I know it will never be the same. But I also believe it will be better.
There is now a stronger sense of anticipation. The planning will be more challenging and the research will have to be done more in depth. Going on a holiday will require more thinking on how we get there, where we stay and what we will want to experience. I don't think spontaneïty will disappear. However, we will truly look forward to a trip and get excited about details.

Going on a trip will have more meaning in terms of connection to others. We have been deprived of human connection for months. We haven't spoken to strangers and learnt from other cultures. This is what makes our travels special: the people we meet and the story they tell us. Now more than ever, exchanging with others will be crucial.

The knowledge that it can be taken away from us so quickly, will bring gratitude. Travelling will not be taken for granted anymore and I hope we will truly enjoy every part of the adventures to come. Even the transit, the delays, the average food and the bad weather!

Come on 2021, let us get out there!
